AeroMÃ©xico is the airline with the largest fleet throughout Latin America. It’s based in Mexico City, Mexico, and its hub airport is Mexico City International Airport. The airline considers Gen. Abelardo L. RodrÃguez International Airport (Tijuana), Gen. Ignacio Pesqueira GarcÃa International Airport (Hermosillo), Gen. Mariano Escobedo International Airport (Monterrey) and Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport (Guadalajara) to be its focus cities.
AeroMÃ©xico flies to more than 45 destinations worldwide, operating more than 400 flights daily. It flies throughout Mexico as well as to cities in the United States, South America, Europe and Asia. It’s the only carrier in Latin America with service to Asia – its inaugural flight from Mexico City to Tokyo, Japan was in November of 2006.
For more than a decade, AeroMÃ©xico has been the airline with the most consecutive on-time record in the world. The airline is a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance and operates a fleet of only Boeing aircraft. AeroMÃ©xico’s premier lounges, called SalÃ³n Premier, are located in major airports throughout Mexico, including in Mexico City (one each in the domestic and international terminals), Acapulco, Chihuahua, Ciudad JuÃ¡rez, Monterrey, Tijuana, MÃ©rida, CancÃºn and Guadalajara. They’re open one hour before the first flight departs and close with the departure of the day’s last flight.
