Blue Air is a Romanian low-cost carrier, headquartered in Bucharest. Its main base is Bucharest-Baneasa Aurel Vlaicu International Airport (IATA: BBU) , the second airport serving Romania’s capital.

Blue Air flies to 24 destinations in Europe. Most flights depart from Bucharest, but the airline also flies from Sibiu and Bacau.

The airline was launched in 2004. It was a turning point in Romania’s history as Blue Air was the first airline to offer inexpensive flights to most destinations in Europe. Their concept of Smart Flying comprises, among others: highly experienced pilots, performance fleet, Blue Air agencies, non stop call center, Blue Air partner agencies and flight safety.
