Cheap bmibaby Flights
bmibaby is a subsidiary of bmi, and is a low cost carrier. The airline has four main hubs at Manchester Airport, East Midlands Airport, Birmingham International Airport and Cardiff International Airport. It flies to more than 20 destinations in Europe, including Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Alicante, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bordeaux, Cork, Faro, Ibiza, Geneva, Lisbon, Malaga, Murcia, Nice, Palma, Paris, Prague and Rome.
Although its parent company, bmi, is a member of the Star Alliance airline alliance, bmibaby is not a member. Like other low cost airlines, bmibaby charges fees for “extras” that are often complimentary on the flights of major carriers. The airline’s website allows passengers to alter their bookings online and choose their seats before checking in, both for a fee. More recently, the airline is allowing business travelers to choose only the options they really need or want so they only pay for what they will use. For instance, they can choose from things like ticket flexibility, executive lounge access and onling check-in, and then not pay for the services they will not use.
bmibaby began service in 2002 and operates an entirely Boeing fleet. The airline’s logo includes a drawing of a baby, and the aircraft all have names with “baby” in them. Some examples are “rock a bye baby” and “baby blue skies.” When bmibaby became a sponsor of the Elite Ice Hockey League in the UK, one plane was dubbed “ice ice baby.”
