Carpatair is a regional airline, headquartered in Timisoara, Romania. Its hub is the International Airport “Traian Vuia” Timisoara (IATA: TSR) . The airline operates on 10 domestic and 18 international airports, offering flights to a total of 30 destinations in 7 countries.

Carpatair was created in 1999 and since 2000 it uses Timisoara as its hub. It was one of the first airlines headquartered in Banat Region and therefore was very successful from the beginning. On the local market, its main competitor is TAROM, the national flag carrier.

Starting with 2006, Carpatair started offering the e-ticketing service to its customers. And since 2010, passengers can check in online. The frequent flyer program is called “Green Club” and has been available since 2010.

The airline offers flights from various Romanian cities via Timisoara (bus & fly), as well as from Bucharest, Bacau, Craiova and Chisinau (Moldavian Republic).

Although the airline isn’t part of any alliance, it has various interline and code-share partnerships, with airlines such as: Moldavian Airlines, Lufthansa , Air Berlin , Austrian Airlines, TAROM, Malev, Icelandair, Air One, Finnair, Aegean Airlines, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines and US Airways .
