Cheap Flybe Flights
Flybe is a regional European airline based at Exeter International Airport in England which flies to more than 40 destinations throughout Europe. Aside from Exeter, the airline’s main hubs are Birmingham Airport, Southamptom Airport and Belfast City Airport, and its focus cities are Edinburgh Airport, Glasgow Airport, Manchester Airport and Norwich International Airport. Flybe is Europe’s largest regional airline.
After starting life as a regular full service airline (under a different name) in the late 1970s, Flybe was launched in 2002 to compete in the European budget airline market. Unlike most of the low cost, no frills airlines, Flybe calls itself a low cost, full service airline. That full service no longer includes checked baggage, however – as of early 2006 passengers are charged an additional fee for checking any bag.
Flybe has flights to Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and throughout the United Kingdom. Reflecting the fact that Flybe’s largest operations are at Southampton’s airport, the airline became the main sponsor of the Southampton Football Club in 2006. But not to leave its other hubs feeling left out, Flybe is also the main sponsor of Exeter City Football Club and Norwich City Football Club.
