Cheap Frontier Flights
Frontier Airlines is one of the budget carriers operating in the United States. Frontier’s base is at Denver International Airport, and its regional focus is primarily the western portions of the United States. The airline considers Cancun International Airport and Los Cabos International Airport to be focus cities. Frontier has a code-sharing agreement with Horizon Air and Great Lakes Airlines, which results in an expansion of its route network. The airline serves nearly 60 destinations in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Although Frontier has postponed expanding its route network inside the United States, it has worked to increase the number of cities it serves in Mexico and Canada – it’s scheduled to begin service to Vancouver, B.C. in 2007. Frontier flies many sun-seekers to Mexican resorts, serving Acapulco, Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, Cozumel, Guadalajara, Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. Within the United States, Frontier already serves New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Memphis, Nashville, Washington, D.C. and four cities in Florida.
Frontier does fit in the realm of low-cost airlines – there is only one class in the cabin, for instance – although it does offer a movie and television service in every seat back for a small fee. Most low-cost carriers do not operate a hub-and-spoke routing system, but Frontier does – if you’re flying Frontier, you’re mostly likely going to pass through Denver. Frontier’s frequent flyer program shares benefits with its partner, AirTran.
