Cheap Hawaiian Airlines Flights
The largest airline in Hawai’i, Hawaiian Airlines is also the 11th largest airline in the United States. Its headquarters is in Honolulu, and its main hub is Honolulu International Airport. It operates a secondary hub at Kahului Airport on Maui and is commonly known by the acronym HAL. It flies to 19 destinations in the United States, Australia, Tahiti and American Samoa. In 2006, it began expanding its services to the West Coast of the United States by increasing the number of flights to and from Sacramento, San Diego, Los Angeles, Seattle and Portland.
Hawaiian Airlines has code sharing agreements (meaning transfers between Hawaiian and these other airlines to get from point A to point B is much simpler) with Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Harmony Airways, Northwest Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airways. Hawaiian also has frequent flyer partnerships with American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airways.
Hawaiian Airlines is routinely on top in the categories of on-time arrivals and departures, fewest cancellations and baggage handling. It’s one of the last airlines still serving in-flight meals in its economy class. It’s also the oldest airline in the US that’s able to say it’s never had a fatal incident in its entire history. The airline’s parent company did file for bankruptcy protection in 2003, but then emerged from bankruptcy in 2005.
