Kenya Airways is Kenya’s largest airline and also the second-largest airline in sub-Saharan Africa. (The largest is South African Airways.) Kenya Airways, however, makes more transcontinental flights than any other airline in Africa. Its headquarters is in Nairobi and its hub is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Nairobi). The airline considers Moi International Airport in Mombasa to be a focus city.
Kenya Airways flies to more than 40 destinations in Asia (China, India, Thailand, United Arab Emirates), Europe (France, Netherlands, Turkey, United Kingdom) and throughout Africa. The airline flies 56 times a week to Mombasa, 28 times a week to Entebbe, 10 times a week to London and Dubai, nine times a week to Amsterdam, seven times a week to Lagos, five times a week to Kinshasa, three times a week to Paris and Bangkok and two times a week to Istanbul.
Kenya Airways is a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance, and the Air France-KLM company has an ownership stake in the airline. In turn, Kenya Airways has an ownership stake in Precision Air, Tanzania’s largest airline. Kenya Airways has a code sharing agreement with KLM. The airline has a fleet made up of almost all Boeing aircraft.
