Cheap LAN Airlines Flights
LAN Airlines is based in Santiago, Chile. It is both Chile’s flag carrier and principal airline as well as the largest airline on the entire South American continent. The airline’s main hub is in Santiago at Comodoro Arturo Merino BenÃtez International Airport, and it also considers Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Buenos Aires), Jorge Chávez International Airport (Lima), Mariscal Sucre International Airport (Quito) and Miami International Airport (Miami) to be focus cities.
LAN flies to 40 destinations in Latin America, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, French Polynesia and Europe. Besides LAN, there is only one other Latin American airline which flies to Oceania (the other is Aerolineas Argentinas). The airline currently has nearly 90 aircraft in its fleet, with both Airbus and Boeing represented fairly equally.
LAN is a member of the OneWorld airline alliance. The airline also has code sharing agreements with several airlines, including American Airlines (for destinations in the United States), British Airways and Iberia (for destinations in Europe), Korean Air (for destinations in Asia) and Qantas (for some destinations in Australia and New Zealand). LAN’s frequent flyer program is called LANPASS, and more than one million people throughout South America and the United States enjoy its benefits. In fact, 50,000 LANPASS members fly for free every year.
