Cheap Wizz Air Flights
Wizz Air is one of Europe’s budget carriers. It is a Polish/Hungarian airline which serves mainly the Central European market. Its main hubs are Budapest Ferihegy International Airport in Hungary, Katowice International Airport in Poland, Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport in Poland, Gdasnk Lech Walesa Airport in Poland and Sofia Airport in Bulgaria. From these airports, Wizz Air flies to more than 30 destinations. The airline flies to cities in Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, France, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Ireland and Norway. Some of the routes are seasonal.
The airline is a relatively recent addition to the skies, having been founded in 2003. The first Wizz Air flight took place in May 2004, just after Poland and Hungary entered the European Union. The airline is planning to expand its operating bases to include Zagreb in Croatia. Wizz Air Bulgaria, which is a division of the larger company, plans to expand its services with Bulgaria’s entrance into the European Union.
Wizz Air uses a fleet that is made up entirely of Airbus aircraft. Like most other low cost airlines, Wizz Air charges additional fees and taxes which are not included in the list price of its tickets. Some of the charges are unavoidable, such as fuel surcharges or security taxes, and with some you can save yourself some money. For instance, if you book your ticket online you will be charged a €3 fee, whereas if you book via the telephone you will be charged a €5 fee. It is important to note these additional costs when figuring out the actual cost of your fare.
