How to Find Cheap Air Travel to/from Albuquerque
Albuquerque International Sunport (airport code ABQ) is the airport serving the New Mexico towns of Albuquerque and Santa Fe. It is a short three miles outside downtown Albuquerque, and is New Mexico’s largest commercial airport. Whether the name “Sunport” is supposed to indicate that it is some kind of portal to sunny weather is up for debate, especially in the winter.
Albuquerque’s sole terminal has two concourses and plays host to 11 commercial airlines. You can find a list of the airlines serving Albuquerque here. The airport is also used by two commuter airlines and is a cargo airport for three shipping services. A list of the shops, restaurants and banks available at the airport is here. Maps of the different terminal levels are here so you can more easily find your way around. Ground transportation options include buses, taxis, shuttles, trains, limousines, and car rentals. The rental agencies at the airport are listed on this page and you will find driving directions here. Be sure to book Albuquerque airport parking before you leave home, too.
