Find the cheapest flight to Belgium

Brussels Airport (airport code BRU), sometimes also called Zaventem Airport or Brussels (Zaventem) International Airport, is Belgium’s main international airport. It is actually located in the town of Zaventem (hence the name) not far from Brussels. Brussels Airport is a hub for Brussels Airlines and European Air Transport. Some European budget airlines (like Wizz Air and Ryanair) fly to the smaller Charleroi Airport (airport code CRL) about 60km from Brussels, and Antwerp Deurne Airport (airport code ANR) also gets some international flights as well. Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport is not too far away, either, so you might consider booking your flight to Amsterdam and then catching either a short low-cost flight to Belgium or just taking the train there.

For a full list of airlines serving the Brussels Airport, see this page. You can track flight arrivals here and flight departures here. A timetable listed by destination is here. A complete list of services available at the airport is here – among the services is an oversized luggage storage area, a selection of luggage lockers, luggage wrapping and currency exchange. Your dining and shopping selections can be found here. To get to and from the airport you can choose from the ground transportation options here, which include bus, train, taxi and bicycle. If you would like to rent a car, you can do that from one of the agencies listed here and you will find driving directions here. Do not forget to return the car with a full tank of gas! You can fill up right at the airport, though (information here), so that should not be a problem.

More Information on Belgium

Belgium might be only one of the countries on your BeNeLux Eurail Pass, but that does not mean it should be considered just like any of its neighbors. This is a country without a singular identity or language; to talk about “Belgians” as one unified or uniform group is impossible. And yet visitors to Belgium probably will just experience the country’s exceptional beer and chocolate, charming cities and beautiful countryside and forget about all the rest. Because really, Belgium is a delight.
