How to Find Cheap Air Travel to/from Denver

Denver International Airport (airport code DEN) is the third largest international airport in the world. It is in the far northeastern part of Denver, about 25 miles from downtown, and was voted the Best Airport in North America by readers of Business Traveler Magazine in 2005. It is a rather interesting-looking structure, as well, with the white tension fabric roof meant to mimic the snow-capped Rocky Mountains nearby. Denver’s airport is the largest airport in the United States that does not have nonstop flights serving Asia. DIA, as it is sometimes called, is the home base for Frontier Airlines, a major hub for United Airlines and the primary hub for Ted. It is also home to a growing Southwest Airlines operation. Those are the airlines to check, therefore, for special deals on tickets.

For a complete list of airlines serving DIA, go here, and for a flight tracker, go here. To help you get around the airport, there are terminal maps here. Your shopping and dining options are listed here and other passenger services are listed here. Ground transportation information is here, including a handy search method using either your destination or your preferred method of travel as the criteria. If you are driving to DIA, you will find maps and directions here, and you can save time and money on Denver airport parking by booking in advance.
