Cheap Flights to Dubrovnik

While the Dubrovnik Airport (airport code DBV) is not the biggest or most heavily trafficked airport in Croatia, it does serve one of the main tourist areas in the country. You may have trouble finding cheap flights to Dubrovnik if you are coming from outside Europe, but if you are already in Europe (or can find a great deal to a major European hub city) you could score a good deal on a short flight to Dubrovnik. The airport itself is situated only 15km from central Dubrovnik.

The small carrier Dubrovnik Airline is based at Dubrovnik Airport, and a list of all the airlines serving this city can be found here. Although it is a smaller airport, Dubrovnik Airport has all the usual passenger services you would expect - including a few shops and restaurants, a Duty Free shop, a bank, a currency exchange office and a luggage wrapping service. Scrolling further down that page, you can also find information about ground transportation to and from the airport (click the "Transfer to Dubrovnik" arrow), the airport hotels and parking lots, and something that is mysteriously titled "Cave." The link only displays a photo of a guy in a hard-hat with a headlamp standing in a large cave full of stalactites and stalagmites - and although this does not appear to be actually inside the airport, there is no indication of where it is. You will have to ask at the tourist information desk at the airport to sort out that one.
