Cheap Flights to Finland

The primary international airport for Finland is just outside the capital city - it is Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (airport code HEL), located roughly 5km from the town of Vantaa and 15km from Helsinki itself. The national airline of Finland, Finnair, uses Helsinki-Vantaa as its home airport and primary hub. Blue1, a division of SAS, also uses this airport as a hub.

A list of all the airlines flying in and out of Helsinki is here, and you can track arrivals here and departures here. There are lots of passenger services and facilities at the airport, including a pharmacy, luggage storage, currency exchange, and even a barber. You can find out more about each from the drop-down "Services" menu on the front page. Your dining options are listed here, and your main shopping options are here. You will find terminal maps on this page. Ground transportation choices include bus, taxi, and car rental, and driving directions are here.

Another airport to consider when flying in or out of Finland is Tampere-Pirkkala Airport (airport code TMP), which is Ryanair's Finland hub. It is about 17km from the city of Tampere, and Finland's second busiest international airport. Ryanair connects Tampere with Dublin, Frankfurt, London, and Milan, among other cities.
