Cheap Flights to Jamaica

Jamaica is very easy to reach, which is great news for anyone seeking a bit of sun. There are two major airports serving Jamaica - the main one in Montego Bay and a secondary one in Kingston - both of which receive lots of daily flights from North America and Europe. Your likely points of departure are going to be Miami or New York (in the USA) and London (in Europe).

Jamaica’s Major Airports

Sir Donald Sangster International Airport (airport code MBJ) in Montego Bay is not only the larger of Jamaica’s two airports, it’s also one of the larger airports in the entire Caribbean. It’s a hub for Air Jamaica. You’ll find a list of airlines serving Sangster here, arrivals information here and departures here. Your dining options are listed here, and your shopping options here. You’ll find a list of other passenger services available at Sangster here. There are very cheap local buses in Jamaica for getting around, though the airport’s website doesn’t include information about them. You can ask about them at the airport’s information desk. If your hotel has an airport shuttle, it’ll be listed here. You can find out about taxis here, and car rentals here.

Jamaica’s second major airport is Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport (airport code KIN) serving Jamaica’s capital city. It’s also an Air Jamaica hub. You’ll find a list of airlines serving Norman Manley here, and you can track arrivals and departures here. Your dining and shopping options are both listed on this page, followed by the availability of Internet kiosks. Car rental agencies operating at the airport are listed at the bottom of the page under Passenger Services here, along with information about the taxi services and public buses.
