How to Find Cheap Air Travel to/from Las Vegas

Flying in and out of Las Vegas is a breeze, largely because of the proximity of McCarran International Airport to The Strip. By the time you pick up your bags you are almost at your hotel, and that is very good news for business or pleasure travel. Of course, you will need to walk by the rows and rows of slot machines between your gate and the baggage claim area, and if you have money burning a hole in your pocket those slots might be hard to pass by without playing. Just remember there are more places to spend money in Las Vegas than just the airport, so you might want to save some for later. McCarran’s airport code is LAS, and it serves as a hub for US Airways and Allegiant Air, and is the largest base of operations for Southwest Airlines, so those are the airlines to keep an eye out for when checking for special deals on airline tickets. Southwest is the airline which carries more people in and out of Las Vegas than any other. McCarran is located a scant five miles south of the central business district of Las Vegas, and you will find a list of airlines that serve LAS here. It is not clear whether every slot machine is highlighted on the map, but you will not have to look hard to find one – there are more than 1300 throughout the airport.
