Find the cheapest flight to Malta
Malta International Airport (airport code MLA) is Malta’s only airport and sits eight kilometers from the capital city of Valletta. It is on the site of a former RAF Luqa base, so is sometimes still referred to as Luqa Airport by locals. Malta International serves the entire Maltese archipelago.
To find a flight to Malta, first you have to go to this page and select your origin point. There aren’t any cities listed in the United States, so you’ll need to have gotten yourself to one of the cities on the drop-down menu first. Once you’ve selected a city from the menu, you’ll see a list of airlines flying between that city and Malta International. You can see arrivals information here, and departures information here. In addition to the public Internet kiosks in the airport, all areas of the terminal have WiFi access (for a fee). The restaurants and shops in the airport are listed here. Your ground transportation options, including taxis and public transport, are listed here (links on the left side of the page) and the car rental agencies operating at Malta International are here.
More Information on Malta
Malta sits just off Sicily’s southern tip in the Mediterranean Sea, so it’s no surprise that its beaches are some of its main draws – it’s a popular spot to take a spa holiday or just lounge by the sea – especially since beach weather lasts well into October, when it’s cooled off significantly in most of the rest of Europe. If you can tear yourself away from the sun, sand and surf, you’ll find plenty of history around you as well.
