Malta International Airport (airport code MLA) is Malta's only airport and sits eight kilometers from the capital city of Valletta. It is on the site of a former RAF Luqa base, so is sometimes still referred to as Luqa Airport by locals. Malta International serves the entire Maltese archipelago.
