The Ottawa International Airport (airport code YOW), also known as Macdonald-Cartier International Airport, is the sixth busiest airport in Canada in terms of passenger traffic. It lies about 10km from downtown Ottawa, and the airport’s name refers to two giants in Canadian history, Sir John A. Macdonald and Sir George-Etienne Cartier. This is one of the airports in Canada which has pre-clearance facilities for people traveling into the United States.
