Cheap Flights to Philippines

There are several airports in the Philippines, but the country's main airport in Manila is also the main international gateway. Ninoy Aquino International Airport (airport code MNL) is about seven kilometers from the capital city and is the main hub for Philippine national flag carrier Philippine Airlines.

Unfortunately, the website for the airport is not very helpful if you are looking for basic information about the Ninoy Aquino International Airport - things like what restaurants and shops are at the airport, what all the ground transportation options are, or what airlines fly in and out of Manila. You can get an idea of what airlines serve Manila here, although it might not be updated as frequently as the airport's own website would be. You can track both incoming and outgoing flights from this page. You can also see something of the terminal layout here and read about the various terminals here. While the airport's website does not provide this information, there are restaurants and shops throughout the Manila airport, some of both on each side of the security gates as well. The airport also has Duty Free shops, just in case you want to empty your pockets before your flight home.

For some indication of the cost to travel from the airport to certain areas around Manila, there is a listing of airport taxi rates here. From that link you can also see information about metered taxis and hotel limousines, as well. There is no list of which car rental agencies are operating at the Manila airport, but if you click on the link that says "Hotel Limousines" on this page you will see that it is possible to rent a car at the Manila airport.

Be sure to check our deals on international airfare to Philippines, and then read through our Philippines Travel Guide to learn about what to do and where to stay once you get there.

More Information on Philippines

With more than 7,000 islands making up the Philippines, it is almost impossible to generalize and tell you precisely what you will find when you visit. But you are pretty much guaranteed to experience loads of natural beauty, exceptional beaches, friendly locals and unique cuisine. The chaos of Manila is definitely not representative of most of the country, so get beyond the capital to see what the Philippines is all about.
