Find the cheapest flight to Phuket
The Phuket International Airport (airport code HKT) serves both the city of Phuket and the greater Phuket Province in Thailand. The airport itself is about 32 km from Phuket City, and is Thailand’s second-busiest airport after Suvarnabhumi in Bangkok because Phuket is such a popular tourist destination. Phuket’s airport serves both domestic and international destinations.
Sadly, the Phuket airport’s website is not the most helpful airport website ever, but you should be able to find out at least most of what you need in order to plan your journey.
You will find a list of the airlines serving Phuket at the bottom of this page, and you can track individual flights using the “flight information” box on the home page. Passenger services at the airport, including the shops and restaurants available, are here. Your ground transportation options include limousine and car rental, which are listed here, and there is a note about accessing the airport if you are driving here.
More Information on Phuket
The island of Phuket is Thailand’s largest, and is also one of its primary tourist attractions. Phuket’s beaches are legendary, and although the island was severely damaged in the 2004 Tsunami, the area has recovered almost completely – visitors today might never know how destroyed it looked a few short years ago. In addition to the obvious appeal of the beaches and all the water-related activities you can engage in, Phuket Island also has a few historic sights as well.
