The country of Sweden has five airports which each see over one million passengers every year, but the main point of entry for most international travelers is likely to be Stockholm-Arlanda Airport (airport code ARN) roughly 42km from the capital city of Stockholm. It is Sweden’s largest and busiest airport, serving more than 17 million people annually.

This Stockholm airport is one of the three hubs for Scandinavian Airlines System, or SAS. • Malmo Airport (airport code MMX) – Also known as Malmo Sturup Airport, it is just under 30km from Malmo and only 55km from Copenhagen in neighboring Denmark. It is used by some budget European airlines.
• Stockholm-Skavsta Airport (airport code NYO) – Despite the name this airport is about 100km outside Stockholm. It is popular with some of Europe’s low-cost airlines.
